the n.o.p. life started as a photo blog about life north of Princess St in Kingston, ON. I moved to Kingston in May 2010 for a 12 month internship and a chance to have a life again after spending more than enough time dedicated to my school work. There were some preconceptions about what a life north of Princess is like. But I knew I wanted my nop life to be crafty, delicious, beautiful, and above all, happy. It was all of those things (except maybe crafty). And even though I only visit my n.o.p. home now, I still live the n.o.p. life as much as possible.

bbq sauce for dad

I got the idea from marthastewart.com to make my dad some barbecue sauce for father's day. I found a recipe on smitten kitchen that was described as a "tangy, subtly spicy, delicious mutt of a barbecue sauce". We used it on father's day to make some chicken burgers with bacon and it was very delicious.
